The BDS course offered by Amrita School of Dentistry commenced in September 2003 and was inaugurated by Smt. Sushma Swaraj, the then Minister for Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India. The School is housed in a self – contained four – storey building, having a built – up area of 154,000 sq. ft., and is one of the biggest dental colleges in Asia. The building includes pre – clinical dental laboratories, lecture halls, conference center, faculty members offices, administrative offices, clinical treatment areas, small group discussion areas, research labs and library. A state-of-the-art advanced dental care clinic provides exclusive specialist care.
Amrita School of Dentistry was established in 2003 under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Amrita Kochi campus comprises of the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), the School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy & School of Allied Health Sciences, and the Centre for Nanosciences. Amrita School of Dentistry started offering BDS in 2003 which was inaugurated by the then Health Minister, Smt. Sushma Swaraj. The school offers BDS, MDS, and Diploma in Dental Mechanics with rigorous training programs.
Amrita School of Dentistry was founded in the year 2003. It is one of the main schools under Amrita group of Institution. Amrita School of Dentistry offers a 5-year BDS and a three -year MDS program in a full-time mode in 9 specializations. The school also offers Diploma in Dental Mechanics for the duration of two years.
